Courtney Packard, APCC(Associate Professional Clinical Counselor)License No. 17717

Welcome.

I’m an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (License No. 17717) currently under the supervision of Jaclyn Birdsall (License No. 133678). I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychological & Brain Sciences and Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara, followed by a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College.

My Methods

Some of the therapeutic approaches I draw from include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness practices, and Attachment Theory. I integrate these with a person-centered framework, emphasizing empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and have completed Level 2 of The Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. While I work with a broad range of concerns, I have particular expertise in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and challenges in relationships.

Practice Focus

I specialize in working with teenagers, young adults, adults, and couples. I take an integrative, person-centered approach to therapy, believing that every client is unique and the expert on their own experiences. I offer a safe and supportive space where my client can feel comfortable opening up about whatever’s on their mind. Together, we explore the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be causing distress, so each client can work through challenges and move toward their personal goals.
